“What an opportunity to connect with folks who support innocence work in Georgia! From enjoying ice cream to conversations about freedom, this celebration was truly sweet. Thank you to everyone who participated.”

Kristin Nelson Verrill, Executive Director at Georgia Innocence Project

Georgia Innocence Project’s community came together and raised over $34,000 to correct and prevent wrongful convictions in Georgia! Thanks to all who supported our inaugural Sweet Freedom fundraiser. We hope you enjoy the event video by Santo Dileo, Dileo Films, and event photos by Tyrae Campbell, TCam Productions.

If you were unable to attend, you can still show your support by donating here.

We can't wait to celebrate with you at Sweet Freedom 2027!
